Clay Pigeon Shooting

Liverpool University Shooting Team is a fun and friendly group for anyone interested in clay shooting. We provide opportunities for both beginners and experienced shots and welcome anyone who would like to come and have a go.

We practice every Wednesday at Catton Hall, our home shooting ground in Frodsham, Cheshire, which offers us a range of targets. We offer taster days throughout the year for those new to shooting. All beginners, for safety reasons, will be required to have a lesson with one of the instructors at Catton Hall.  Following that, you will be able to practice in small groups with our club guns. The team is very fortunate to have volunteers from the Cheshire CPSA and Catton Hall to help us prepare for competitions and develop our shooting skills.

Our main competition is the annual BUCS competition in December, and we also provide the opportunity to compete in friendly weekend events with other universities, as well as the monthly open competitions held by Catton Hall (normally on the last Sunday of every month)

We hold socials after practice on a Wednesday and have great competitions and tours planned! All of these will be advertised on our social media accounts, so make sure you check Facebook, Twitter and our website for details of these.
