Liverpool University Canoe Club (LUCC) is perhaps the wildest and most awed sports club in the University. Whether you are a seasoned kayaker or a complete beginner you are welcome in our club. Why not join us and give paddling and polo playing a go?
We paddle throughout the year and do a variety of disciplines from skills sessions in the pool, improving everyone’s ability; to canoe polo (like wheelchair basketball on water) to white-water rivers! We organise trips most weekends to get out of the city and find some rivers to play on, so come along and get involved.
The club meets every week in the University pools for a warm practice session, new members are always welcome to come along and join.
The days and times of the sessions are yet to be determined, we’ll let you know!
Sam is our pool session guru and Ruth is our Polo queen, so chat to them at pool sessions or contact them via facebook if you have any questions.
If you want to catch up on the clubs exploits throughout the year and get an impression of the sort of trips we run then read our club blog at http://luccgoespaddling.blogspot.co.uk/ Or if you have any specific questions have a chat to Tim and Stuart!
These are jam packed with info for the coming week, written by Mollie to bring you up to speed on current plans and events. If you missed signing up at freshers fair and aren't currently on our email list don't despair! Simply follow the link below and add your email to our mailing list! http://groupspaces.com/Lucanoe/
We have a wide variety of socials and everyone is welcome. Whether it’s a carnage filled AU night, daft games and goings-on while on trips, or chilled out film nights or tea at the kayaking houses I’m sure Faye & Harry will keep you entertained. Check out our plans on our Facebook page!
If you have any extra questions I’m happy to answer them, just drop me an email, or contact me via the Facebook page.
Hope to see you all soon,
