GetGoing! Fitness Mile Event
Sport Liverpool is teaming up with England Athletics encouraging University of Liverpool Staff and Students to Get Going!
Get Going is a beginner running campaign for Liverpool.
As part of England Athletics commitment to recreational running they have invested in the City of Liverpool to develop and sustain a strong network of beginner focused running groups delivered by qualified and insured volunteer leaders.
As well as growing their groups network the Get Going campaign also is striving to improve the provision for running across the city through the creation of a number of permanently marked running routes in green spaces across the city scape.
The University of Liverpool is hosting a Fitness Mile Event on Wednesday 2nd July 12-2pm at the Sports & Fitness Centre. Fitness Mile a great way to get advice and support on where to start as a runner. The main focus of the afternoon is to get as many University of Liverpool staff and students running the mile and Get Going! In addition to the run, we will be offering the following services to help you along the way:
- Runners MOT
- Healthy Eating Advice
- Slimming World Reps
- Blood Pressure & Heart Rate
- BMI Scoring
This event is free of charge and open to everyone! We hope to see you at the Sports and Fitness Centre on the 2nd July to Get Going!
