In January 2017, Sport Liverpool in collaboration with Merseyside Sports Partnership will be launching the Workplace Challenge at the University of Liverpool. The Workplace Challenge is a FREE resource to help employees increase their physical activity levels.
To help us achieve our aim to get University of Liverpool employees more active, we are looking for Physical Activity Champions to work with us to help promote the scheme.
Would you like to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of your colleagues? Then become a Physical Activity Champion.
Delivered by Merseyside Sports Partnership and in partnership with the British Heart Foundation and Sport Liverpool, you can attend a one day training course at the University Sports & Fitness Centre where you will learn about how you can encourage your colleagues to be more physically active.
You’ll come away from the training with:
- information about how sport and physical activity can improve their colleague’s health and wellbeing
- top tips about how to motivate and inspire colleagues to improve their physical activity levels
- practical ideas, resources and sources of support to be able to implement physical activity initiatives within your workplace
This training is free of charge and suitable for any employee to attend. We’re looking for people who are passionate about physical activity, great motivators and excellent communicators.
The training will take place at the University Sports & Fitness Centre on Wednesday 14th December 1pm – 4pm.
There is also an opportunity to attend regular network meetings of trained Champions from across Liverpool workplaces, to share ideas and best practice about workplace physical activity initiatives, if this is something you would be interested in.
If you’d like to put yourself forward to attend the training then please email Ryan Swinney, Sport Development Officer with your name, job title and contact number.
