Safety and Hygiene Measures

The safety of our staff, members and visitors is our number one priority.

We will continue working with colleagues across the University and taking guidance from industry bodies to provide a safe enviroment for all our members.

Some of the measures we have in place are set out below:

  • We will continue to ask you to maintain social distance (1m+) within our facilities.
  • We will continue with our enhanced cleaning protocols.
  • Hygiene and cleaning stations will remain throughout our facilities.

Social Distancing: This will stay at 1m+ in line with the wider University. The University will review this at the end of the first term. You will notice that the one-way systems and associated signage around the facilities have started to be removed and replaced with social distancing signage. Protective screens will stay in place.

Cleaning & Hygiene: Sanitising stations and cleaning stations will stay in place as they are now. We will continue to clean high frequency touch points. Members will be asked to continue with our double wipe policy in all areas.

Pre-booking Sessions: We are keeping the booking system in place for all activities to enable us to control numbers in activities. Gaps between sessions will be reduced. Members can still turn up and book on the day if there are places available. Maximum capacities will remain in place for all areas.

Face Coverings: Face Coverings should still be worn inside all facilities and where social distancing cannot be maintained outside on the campus. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering a visor can be worn or a lanyard should be displayed.

Cashless Campus: We will continue to be part of the cashless campus.  Where possible, please book online or have alternative payment methods ready if paying in person.

Please refer to our Frequently asked Questions section to see further details on safety and hygiene protocols.

We will continue to review our protocols on a weekly basis, and keep you updated on any further changes.
