Migration and Ethnic Diversity
This theme explores the dominant patterns and processes of migration to and within the UK. It considers one of the most striking elements of population change witnessed over this time period; the increased ethnic diversity of the population, both nationally and locally.
The theme focuses on core challenges associated with capturing and measuring migration, diversity and mixing, and considers how we can better understand the ‘how’ and ‘so what’ of these significant demographic and geographic developments.
