Travelling to the University of Liverpool
The University of Liverpool is within easy reach of Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport enabling travel from all corners of the world. The conference venue is located at the heart of the University campus which is 10 minute walk from the city's main rail station (Liverpool Lime Street) and is also well-served by motorway networks linking it to all regions within the UK.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is eight miles from the city and is best reached by taxi or the express bus, directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal. You can also get buses 500, 86, 80A and 82A to Liverpool city centre.

A train service runs between Manchester Airport and Liverpool Lime Street station. There is also a direct coach service which takes about 1 hour.

The main conference venue is a ten-minute walk away from Liverpool Lime Street. Take the main exit out of the station and turn left into Lime Street. Then turn left again at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel and continue up Brownlow Hill towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral – you will see the red brick building with its clock tower. The main conference venue is just across the road.
From the M62: at the end of the motorway continue straight ahead onto Edge Lane (A5080 then A5047) and follow signs for Liverpool City Centre and the University. There is a small visitor car park on campus next to the building but this often fills up quickly. The nearest public car park is Mount Pleasant multi-story.

The main conference venue is a ten-minute walk from The National Express coach station in Norton Street. From the exit, turn right and cross London Road into Seymour Street and Russell Street. Then turn left onto Brownlow Hill and head towards the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral – you will see the red brick building with its clock tower. The main conference venue is just across the road
Mersey Ferries operates services between Pier Head and Birkenhead/Wallasey on the Wirral. You can also sail between Liverpool and Belfast and the Isle of Man. Once in Liverpool, follow the signs for Lime Street Station, then follow directions as listed in ‘By train’ section.
