Inaugural lecture: Professor Raechelle D'Sa

Professor Raechelle D'Sa, from the University’s School of Engineering, will deliver her Inaugural lecture on Thursday, 12 January in the Victoria Gallery & Museum.
Professor D'Sa is an expert in antimicrobial biomaterials and she leads a research group that is developing novel solutions to tackle biofilms and drug resistant infections.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a significant threat to humanity and is one of the leading causes of death worldwide killing over 3,500 people every day.
Professor D'Sa’s lecture will explore one laboratory’s journey of developing bioinspired antimicrobial engineering strategies based on nature’s grand design.
Antimicrobial Avengers: Endgame takes place 17.30 – 19:00 on Thursday, 12 January in the Victoria Gallery& Museum.
