About the Society
The Liverpool Women in Science and Engineering Society (LivWiSE) has been created to raise the profile and interaction opportunities for women, non-binary people and other under-represented groups, in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM).
LivWiSE organises events, provides opportunities for networking, and offers a forum for members to exchange experiences, ideas and contacts. We work closely with industry partners, women in science, and STEMM organisations.
The Society's members and activities span all areas of physical sciences, materials sciences and biological sciences, as well as engineering. This includes biology, zoology, ecology, genetics, molecular biology, evolution, veterinary science, medicine, nursing, radiology, mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, geology, geography, marine biology, ecosystems, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence, infection and disease, psychology, translational medicine, maths, statistics, probability, physics, astrophysics and chemistry.
