Liz began her nursing carer in 1998 at a local small animal practice gaining qualifications in animal care and going on to gain her veterinary nursing qualification in 2004 whilst working locally at an emergency night clinic.  She joined the team at  the University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital in September 2004 to take on the role of a Veterinary Nurse rotating through theatre’s wards and various other disciplines in the hospital.

In February 2007 Liz was successful with her application to progress and specialise in the post of Senior Medical Nurse, overseeing the care of the patients in the ward areas and ICU.

Liz was invited to sit on the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress Program Committee in October 2007 and continued to contribute to their work helping to organise lectures, editing lecture notes and chairing until 2013.
