Background

Maxine Sharples graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2009 with a degree in International Business and Chinese. She studied Mandarin at Beijing Management Institute and was awarded a postgraduate scholarship at Xian Jiao Tong University.

She has several years experience as Student Services Manager advising students on immigration compliance and general administration of international student welfare.
She completed her MSc in Logistics in 2014 with her thesis focusing on Anglo- Chinese trade through the Port of Liverpool.
Maxine embarked on a career in the logistics sector working for large blue chip companies, trained in North America, Central and South Africa before being seconded to the Port of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to fulfil a Project Manager Post.

She has now returned to the education sector to assist in the development of EU projects. Maxine will be administering the AVA and OMA Project and will be welcoming our new fellows to the Quasar Group. Maxine has completed her financial training and will be making equipment purchases and streamlining financial processes within the group. She is available for one to one discussion on any areas of pastoral support students may need.
