Progress to Postgraduate: Get to where you want to be
University of Liverpool graduates progressing to either a full or part-time master's degree may be eligible for the Postgraduate Progression Award, Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary or ULMS Progress to Postgraduate Award.
Postgraduate Progression Award
If you're a current University of Liverpool undergraduate or alumni, including intercalating students, Study Abroad and Exchange students and students from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, progressing to either full or part-time postgraduate taught study in the academic year 2023/24 you’re eligible to receive our Postgraduate Progression Award.
- If you are a UK student you will receive a £1,000 reduction in tuition fees.
- If you are an international student you will receive a £2,500 reduction in tuition fees.

How to apply
You do not need to make an application to receive the Postgraduate Progression Award as it will be automatically allocated to all eligible students.
Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary
University of Liverpool graduates from the UK who have been receipt of one of the University’s Widening Access Awards* during their undergraduate studies may be eligible for our Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary worth £3000.
This bursary is available to Home University of Liverpool graduates who are progressing to a standard master's course in the academic year 2023/24, including MRes programmes, within two years of graduation from their undergraduate degree.
Students in receipt of the Postgraduate Opportunity Award cannot concurrently hold the Postgraduate Progression Award.

How to apply
You do not need to make an application to receive the Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary as it will be automatically allocated to all eligible students.
*Liverpool Bursary, Mature Students’ Bursary, Liverpool Scholars’ Award, Realising Opportunities Award, North Liverpool Academy Scholarship, Estranged Students’ Bursary, Young Adult Carers’ Bursary Care Leavers’ Bursary, The Liverpool Life Sciences UTC Scholarship, Recipients of the Asylum Seekers Bursary who now have a ‘Home’ fee status classification.
ULMS Progress to Postgraduate Award
The Management School (ULMS) is offering all current University of Liverpool final year undergraduate students a special incentive to join us for postgraduate study in 2023.
For all current final year undergraduate students progressing to an ULMS master’s programmes in autumn 2023, we are offering an additional fee discount of £1,000.
NB: This award can be combined with any ULMS or centrally awarded funding that the applicant is eligible for, up to a maximum of a 50% fee discount, including the Postgraduate Progression Award or Postgraduate Opportunity Bursary.
UK students can combine this award with the ULMS Attainment Award, where eligible.
