Research Associate Psychology

Personal Statement

I conduct research in Psychology and Linguistics. Specifically, my research focuses on the interplay of different factors that are involved in understanding language. The broad aim of my current research at University of Liverpool is to use behavioural experiments and computational modelling to build and test a pragmatic account which explains why languages have certain structures and restrictions, and particularly how children come to learn them (rather than a view that these are innate hardwired principles).
