Psychology of Later Life

The major focus of my research is the psychology of later life. I am an expert in widowhood and bereavement, across most life domains including gender, social relationships and wellbeing. I study resilience across adulthood, particularly in the context of caregiving and widowhood. I am also interested in nutrition. In older adults I am study how people talk about food and nutrition and adapt their dietary habits with respect to ageing.

Infant nutrition and maternal experience

At the start of life I am interested in infant nutrition, especially breastfeeding, and how it influences maternal experiences.
