Facilities
The Addiction Research Group runs two laboratories and makes use of other cutting edge facilities within the Department of Psychological Sciences.
The Bar Laboratory
This laboratory has been equipped to give the appearance of a 'pub', increasing the ecological validity of experimental research. The lab is used for experimental studies funded by ESRC, MRC, the Wellcome Trust, and Alcohol Research UK. Read more
The Eye Tracking Laboratory
Eye tracking method provides continuous information about visual fixation and scanning of objects. The eye-tracking method has been utilised by various groups within the department to study attentional processing, with current research implementing the state-of-the-art facility to probe the evolution of visual preferences. The department has a desk mounted eye-tracking system, as well as Tobii glasses a wearable, mobile eye-tracking system.
