Personal Statement

I continue to have an interest in German idealism (Kant, Hegel) and philosophy of history. More recently I have been reflecting in a very general way on the essential character of language as such: for example, language as a species of gesture. Whether such reflection will deliver anything interesting or simply the blindingly obvious, I do not know.
