    In 2020 -2021 we will be offering  the following range of online workshops to support you with your career preparation, whether you are looking for career management advice at the start of your PhD or actively preparing applications near the end.

    All session are designed specifically for postgraduate researchers and will be  delivered by our careers consultant, Sally Beyer.

     

     

    Online provision
    Paid teaching experience in Schools with the Brilliant Club

    In 2020 - 2021 the Liverpool Doctoral college is continuing to work with the Brilliant club to provide five paid placements for researchers in schools to deliver lessons relating to their own research area, You would be working as Scholars Programme tutor in 2021, supporting pupils to develop the academic skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress to highly-selective universities.

    Through working as a tutor with The Brilliant Club, you will:

    • Develop teaching experience and other employability skills
    • Receive high-quality training in teaching pedagogy
    • Enhance your knowledge of the UK education system
    • Disseminate your research to a unique, non-expert audience
    • Join a community of like-minded researchers across the UK
    • Have the choice of how many placements you’d like to take part in, getting paid £500 per placement
