November is Academic Writing Month!
This annual event was established as a way to support academic writing via the #AcWriMo hashtag on Twitter. During November 2018, the LDC Development team will be running WriteFest in collaboration with the Researcher KnowHow team at the library. This is our local contribution to this global academic writing month, with the aim of bringing people together to raise awareness and celebrate academic writing.
The month will consist of a series of workshops and webinars to help you write and writing retreats to provide you with the space to write. We encourage all academics, research staff, and research students to join in the write-a-thon.
The festival aims to provide protected time and space for writing to help you work on:
Get writing in November with inspiration from all the contributions to #AcriWriMo on Twitter.
Use the #AcWriFest18 hashtag to share your progress with other researchers at Liverpool and across the other Universities.
Book onto one of our workshops or writing retreats.
To attend a writing retreat, choose the ones(s) that suit you best and book your place through Eventbrite. Then, simply bring your laptop, or pen and paper, along and get writing. This 1 min video covers what the retreat sessions will, and won't (!) involve.
Please arrive in plenty of time, and stay for the full session.
