Fibromyalgia Awareness Day 2020

We know there are other urgent medical matters happening around the globe but we thought we would join all the groups & charities in  spreading awareness on Fibromyalgia.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition which is estimated to impact around 1 in 20 people in the UK. The main symptoms are widespread body pain, fatigue and cognitive dysfunction.

The condition can also cause other unpleasant symptoms which can impact heavily on daily life including

  • Dizzyness
  • Headaches
  • Sensitivity to environments
  • Extremley poor sleep quality
  • Burning like sensations

The condition can impact on health, leading to negative impacts on education, employment, socialising and many other parts of someones life. People will often have to cancel plans, not because they want to but because they have to.

More information on the condition can be found at Fibromyalgia Action UK, NHS & Versus Arthritis
