Sarah graduated from University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1989 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She went on to complete a PhD at University of Sydney in 1994, and obtained FRCPath status from Fellow of Royal College of Pathologists in 2008.
After working in Germany as a Consultant Pathologist, Sarah joined the University of Liverpool in 2005 and established the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group. She was subsequently appointed Director of the Liverpool Tissue Bank, Deputy Head and Academic Lead in the Department of Molecular and Clinical Cancer Medicine, “George Holt Chair of Pathology”, and most recently, Director of the North West Cancer Research Centre.
Clinical & Research interests
Molecular genetics of cancers with particular interests in uveal melanoma; conjunctival melanoma; intraocular and ocular adnexal lymphomas; and CNS lymphoma.
