Nordic walking - beginners

Nordic walking is great fun, friendly, and don’t worry about your fitness level. You can take it at your own pace. As you’re outdoors, you’ll feel the powerful and calming effects of being in nature, excellent therapy for the mind.

In this beginner's class, you'll learn the principles of Nordic walking, including proper body posture and how to engage your core muscles for a full-body workout. Our aim is to make your transition into this enjoyable outdoor activity as smooth as possible.

Please bring with you a comfortable pair of running shoes with a good thread or lightweight walking shoes. If the weather looks wet please bring waterproofs. Wrap up and wear gloves, hat and a couple of thin layers when it’s cold to start that you can easily remove as you warm up walking.

Nordic walking poles are provided.
