Ness Botanic Gardens Strategy

In 2019, the senior management team at Ness Botanic Gardens, working with the wider staff team and stakeholder groups such as Members and volunteers, completed work on the initial iteration of the Ness Botanic Gardens Strategy.

Introduction

The aim was to develop a mission and vision for the future of Ness, including a clear pathway to achieving these aims.  The strategic plan for Ness Botanic Gardens encompasses all areas of our work and is robustly linked to the University of Liverpool’s Strategy 2026.

We sought to set out our mission and values as a botanic garden sitting within a higher education setting, including the championing of plants and biodiversity conservation, supporting the advancement of learning and to deliver professional and high-quality services for students, staff, visitors, Members, volunteers, stakeholders and partner organisations.
