Lunchtime Concerts return for Spring - with added content and Q&As

The University of Liverpool’s FREE Lunchtime Concerts series returns online for Spring, with each show now featuring performer mini-documentaries and audience Q&As.
Join the Ensemble-in-Residence, the Solem Quartet for an exploration of Bartók’s night music on Wednesday 10 February; find out how composers Oli Carman and Mark Pilkington collaborate remotely to create beautiful, new multi-media works, a week later on 17 February; learn about the guzheng, a type of Chinese zither, with our amazing performer and PhD candidate, Xiaoxiao Hou on 24 February; explore the sonic interface between the flute and electronics with flautist, Richard Craig and composers who have written works for him on 3 March; and celebrate music written and performed by women with Equilibrium Ensemble for the final show of the season, on 10 March.
All concerts start at 1.15pm and last appropriately 35 minutes, plus Q&A.
They are FREE to watch and there's no need to pre-register.
The Lunchtime Concerts will be available to view on the Department of Music website, Facebook and YouTube.
Zoom details for Q&A sessions will be provided at the start and end of each concert.
