Hold Slide Music

Ioan Wardhaugh – medical student at the University of Liverpool taking an intercalation year studying music. Ioan is undertaking the 3rd year undergraduate programme in the music department. His harp performance of 'Ten Past Two' by Pearl Chertok was used as the backing music for all of the Women in Music hold slides.

Performance Segment 1 from Session 1

Luying Zhang – Graduated with a Masters in performance from the University of Liverpool in 2020. Luying is currently undertaking preliminary work with the intention of embarking on a PhD relating to Ethel Leginska.

University of Liverpool Chamber Choir – directed by Lousie Dickinson.

Performance Segment 2 from Session 4

Megan Rowlands – graduated with a Masters in performance in 2019 from the University of Liverpool, and performance is still a major component of her current PhD project on Messaien and will remain so throughout her career trajectory.

Ian Buckle – pianist for the Royal Philharmonic Liverpool Orchestra, tutor and collaborative pianist at the University of Liverpool.

Green Tangerines – Green Tangerines are a 5-piece ensemble whose sound nods respectively to 70s Jazz Fusion, whilst simultaneously carving their own path in the UK Jazz scene of today. Comprised of – saxophonist and vocalist Sarah Sands, trumpet player Sam Taylor, guitarist Jack O’Hanlon, bassist Fran Mills and drummer, Tom Hudson – Green Tangerines have been making their name in their adopted home, Liverpool, as current students and alumni of the Music department.
