Student support and wellbeing

The School of Medicine takes its academic and pastoral support of students very seriously.

All students are allocated an Academic Advisor who meets with them at specific times during the year, throughout the course.

We recognise that adapting to University or living away from home is challenging and that being a medical student can be stressful. The University has a Student Services team that are available to help students with day to day concerns.

The School also benefits from its own Student Support and Wellbeing team. The team operates an open door policy, ensuring any medical students experiencing difficulties can access the appropriate support.
