    Personal Statement

    Dr Metcalfe graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2006 and has gone on to complete her postgraduate training in Mersey. She was appointed in 2014 as a Consultant in Acute and General Medicine at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

    Her clinical interests are in medical and point of care ultrasound, and ambulatory emergency care. Additionally, she has a passion for medical education and has held several roles in medical education. Currently, alongside her role as Acutely Ill Patient Theme Lead and Acute Medicine Specialty Lead for the School of Medicine, she is Postgraduate Training Programme Director for Acute Medicine, HENW (Mersey).

    She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, contributing regularly to acute medicine related committees and working groups nationally. She is also Regional Specialty Advisor for Acute Medicine.
