Safety Measures

We would like to reassure examiners that safety is at the forefront of our minds when planning these assessments.

The following is an overview of the safety measures we put in place for the summer 2021 exams - we will of course continue to review this in line with government advice and restrictions as we plan future assessments.

Venue: Building capacities reduced, PPE including face masks and eye protection (provided) to be worn as standard, clear screens have been introduced in stations.

Station layout: Station sizes have been increased, the number of people in stations have been reduced.

Building flow: Social distancing, one way systems and staggered start times are in place.

Cleaning: Extra time has been allocated in between each candidate for cleaning of equipment.

Examiner briefings: Conducted via zoom using the iPads provided on the day.

Simulated patients: Joined the consultations via video link.
