Medical imaging and radiotherapy

Taking the subject forward

The Directorate of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy sits within the School of Health Sciences and is run by a group of highly experienced therapeutic radiographers, diagnostic radiographers and medical physicists.

The team is responsible for the design, support and delivery of our undergraduate courses in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy, our postgraduate Radiotherapy programme and our CPD modules.

We have strong partnerships with NHS and private healthcare organisations throughout Merseyside and Cheshire, as well as with all the main cancer centres in the North West region.

This gives us an ample supply of quality placements, as well as invaluable partners when it comes to developing our courses, understanding employers' needs and incorporating best practice.

Our resources are arguably the most complete of any university in the UK. They represent an investment of over £2m in the quality equipment students will use everyday once qualified.

All of this makes the University of Liverpool an excellent place to train as a diagnostic radiographer or therapeutic radiographer.
