Summary

I am CEO of the Association of Sporting Directors, an organisation that connects, supports and develops football leaders. This ensures I am able to connect with, support and develop technical football leaders global. It provides a gateway for research access and an embedded global platform for knowledge exchange and research dissemination. I am an Honorary member of Abex Futebol, the Brazilian version of the Association of Sporting Directors.

I have held board and advisory positions, including the Football Association of Wales (FAW) Talent ID and Development Advisory Group and the review Board for the Elite Academy Managers Programme for the English Premier League (EPL).

I co-founded and Chaired The Football Collective, the largest global network of football scholars. Led the organisation from conception overseeing annual conferences, online knowledge exchange, special issues, a podcast, an independent mentorship programme, edited books, an online knowledge exchange and dissemination platform and a Routledge book series: 'Critical Research in Football'.

My research is focused on positive change at a personal, organisational and policy level. As such I maintain deep, rich and relevant links with the sport industry. This has included research and knowledge exchange roles in a number of football clubs, The FA, FIFA, FAW and EPL. Beyond this, I am regularly invited to talk at different universities and organisations on a variety of educational topics.

Over the past 15 years I have contributed to international, national and local media covering sport and football business, through written articles (over 60 contributions), expert opinion and expert analysis. Moreover, I have made three submissions of evidence to the UK Governments select committee. Beyond this, I have made over fifty industry and invited presentations.
