The Centre for Sports Business is delighted to announce the first raft of industry speakers for the 2026 Football Industries MBA Alumni Conference.
The conference, which takes place at the Brett Building on 10 and 11 September, returns this year for the first time since 2010 and is being delivered by the Centre in partnership with the University of Liverpool Management School. It has been designed in close consultation with a volunteer steering group of FIMBA alumni, and will be centred around the theme The New Football Economy.
Now, we can reveal nine speakers from across the football industry who are confirmed to be taking part. They are:

- Tom Markham, Principal, Markham Capital & Sports Advisory
- Charlotte Hickey, Head of Women's Football Strategy, The FA
- Walter Böhm, Managing Director, SportBusiness (Ex-SportFive)
- Alex Phillips, Secretary General, FIFPRO
- Argyro Elisavet Manoli, Associate Professor in Marketing & Management, Università degli Studi di Bergamo
- Joe O'Brien, Manchester Metropolitan University.
