Projects and impact
The People and Employment cluster is involved in a number of research projects and impact cases.
Professor Lisa Anderson is leading a project aiming at integrating management research and practice by showing how senior managers can act as scholars and integrate research in their practice. The project, titled “Relational Management Education: Embedding the practice of scholarship within the everyday practice of DBA graduates”, has been funded by the British Academy of Management (BAM). She is also working on a University of Liverpool funded project on the development of programmes for women leaders in science and engineering.
Professor Yves Guillaume has recently completed ESRC seminar series on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which was in collaboration with people at the University of Lancaster, the University of Sheffield, Liverpool John Moores University, and the NHS England. Building on the insights gained from the ESRC seminar series, he is developing a new project to offer comprehensive research evidence on effective Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practices at work.
Dr Mariella Miraglia, with a colleague at ISCTE Lisbon (Portugal)/Toulouse Business School (France), is co-leading a project on performance management with a special focus on informal feedback and the employee-supervisor relationship. The project is funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.
