The University of Liverpool Management School was delighted to welcome back alumni from Help to Grow: Management for a special afternoon of networking, discussion and learning focused on one of today's most significant business opportunities: artificial intelligence.

Hosted at The Reader in Calderstones Park on Tuesday 8 July, the event AI That Earns Its Keep brought together members of the Help to Grow community to explore how organisations are using AI to make better decisions, improve efficiency and generate genuine business value.

Set against the backdrop of a beautiful summer afternoon, the venue provided the perfect setting for alumni to reconnect, exchange ideas and share experiences with fellow business leaders.

A highlight of the event was a session delivered by Rudy Parengal, Founder and CEO of Abjak and a graduate of both the University of Liverpool Management School and the Help to Grow: Management programme. Drawing on his experience of implementing AI solutions within organisations, Rudy shared practical insights into how businesses can move beyond the hype surrounding AI and focus on applications that deliver measurable outcomes.

Attendees gained valuable perspectives on the opportunities and challenges involved in adopting AI technologies. The discussion encouraged participants to consider how AI can support business growth, streamline operations and enhance decision-making, while remaining focused on delivering tangible returns.

The event also provided a valuable opportunity for alumni to strengthen existing connections and build new relationships within the Help to Grow network. Conversations continued throughout the afternoon as participants shared experiences, discussed business challenges and explored potential collaborations with fellow alumni.

The University of Liverpool Management School would like to thank Rudy Parengal for sharing his expertise and all those who attended for contributing to such a positive and engaging event. It was fantastic to see so many Help to Grow alumni reconnecting, exchanging ideas and continuing to support one another on their growth journeys.
