MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management students recently attended a week-long Six Sigma exciting and interactive training course held in March to enhance their professional skills and learning.

The session was delivered by an expert Six Sigma trainer. The course provided students with details about Six Sigma, which is a widely known structured approach used for achieving operational excellence by focusing on process improvement and minimising inefficiencies in business processes.

Throughout the training week, students explored the principles and practical applications of Six Sigma, gaining valuable insights into how organisations can improve efficiency, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement.

As part of the programme, students successfully completed the training and received a Certificate of Training accredited by both the Royal Statistical Society scheme and ENBIS (European Network of Business and Industrial Statistics). These respected accreditations add significant value to students' professional profiles and demonstrate their commitment to developing industry-relevant expertise alongside their academic studies.

The course forms part of the MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management programme's focus on equipping students with practical skills that are highly sought after by employers.

Student feedback highlighted the positive impact of the experience, with attendees awarding the course an impressive average rating of 4.67 out of 5 for the overall experience, reflecting both the quality of the training and the value students gained from the opportunity.
