Dr. Jorge Hernandez, Senior Lecturer at the Management School is hosting the International RUC-APS Workshop from 12-29 May 2020.

The international workshop, titled “Enhancing and Implementing Knowledge Based ICT Solutions within High Risk and Uncertain Conditions for Agriculture Production Systems”, will take place through various online interactive seminars and presentations.

Discussions will focus on issues relating to identifying, mapping, modelling, simulating and proposing novel methodologies and functional technology platforms for the Agri-Food sector in Europe and South America.

This virtual event will bring together EU and international representatives - from industry, civil society, public authorities and research - in addition to agri-food agencies and international leading experts.

Dr Jorge Hernandez, H2020 RUC-APS Project Coordinator, said “ This workshop will allow us to explore the opportunities and strengths relating to the current state and future of the international agri-food sector.  Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, which is affecting the entire agri-food supply chain, the knowledge gained by attending couldn’t be more significant.

As well as this, it is an excellent opportunity for attendees to network with over 100 participants from all over the world by engaging in debate and and helping the project to further explore developing issues.”

The workshop is free and registrants can choose which sessions to join.  They will also receive an official attendance certificate after the event.  The full agenda, including the registration form and links to access each session, is available online
