The Management School held a formal MBA dinner on Thursday 19th April at the Victoria Gallery and Museum.

The event gave students an opportunity to apply the networking skills they have developed throughout their MBA in a formal setting and allowed them to start to build their own network with alumni, University partners and local business owners.

Attendees heard from Elizabeth Maitland, Associate Dean (MBA Programmes), as well as Steve Powell, Chief Diagnostic Officer at Rutherford Diagnostics.  Steve completed the Liverpool MBA in 2016 after previously working for the NHS.  During his talk he spoke about his experience of the MBA and how it has helped him since graduating.  He also emphasised the power of networking and the importance of creating valuable connections.

Aloysius Lim, current MBA student, said about the event “The entire event was well organised and engaging,  the pre-dinner reception was a great setting for light-hearted conversations with the MBA alumni on their post-MBA experiences, the dinner was delightful and overall, it was a really enjoyable evening."

Leonardo de Oliveira, also a current MBA student, commented, “Networking is not only about connecting people. It's a way to connect ideas and get people inspired. This dinner event presented me the opportunity to connect and share ideas with amazing people of the most diverse areas of expertise, inspiring me to aim higher and leave the comfort zone behind.”
