Businesses from across the UK get involved in ULMS start-up competition

Businesses from across the UK have been quick to get involved in the Liverpool Start-Up Competition. The competition encourages undergraduate student entrepreneurs with either a commercial or social enterprise idea to submit a business pitch to a panel of judges.

Running since October 2018, the competition is open to all University of Liverpool undergraduates, who can enter as individuals or as a group, and has three stages.

Stage one involves submitting a powerpoint pitch deck, a short pitch video and financial plan documents. Stage two requires the entrants to develop a marketing campaign so people vote for their pitch video. The final stage has the highest voted six teams pitch their business idea to an invited panel of judges in front to a live audience.
