Successfully Publishing your Innovation Research

Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 October 2022
University of Liverpool Management School, Chatham Street, L69 7ZH, Liverpool
In association with NARTI.

Workshop aim:

Publications in high-quality journals (ABS 3 and above) are becoming an essential criterion for academic positions in universities. Although some universities do sometimes organise publication workshops for doctoral and postdoctoral scholars, these workshops tend to focus on sharing generic guidance on preparing manuscripts and hardly provide detailed insights into the other important stages of the publication process, e.g., the review process.

The aim of this two-day workshop is to provide PhD and Postdoctoral researchers with a clearer picture of the different stages of the publication process, i.e., initial manuscript and cover letter preparation, revisions and preparing responses to reviewers, and final acceptance, and provide guidance on the best practices in each stage.

To achieve this aim, in this workshop, two senior academics from the Innovation across Boundaries interest group at the University of Liverpool Management School–Professor Julia Brennecke and Professor Wolfgang Sofka–will revisit their publication experience with one of their recently published papers in an ABS 4-star journal and take the participants through the different stages of the publication process.
