Discover the latest innovations in the British craft manufacturing sector

The conference will introduce you to the innovative 'next practices' by some of Britain’s leading craft-based manufacturing businesses, including Ooni Pizza OvensTimberkits and The Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company.

As well as gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities of UK’s crafts manufacturing, you will have the opportunity to network with expert researchers and entrepreneurs within the sector.

The event is organised by the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) the Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE) Group in partnership with the InterAct Network.

InterAct Network is a £4.4 million, Made Smarter Innovation funded, Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) led network, aimed at bringing together economic and social scientists, UK manufacturers and digital technology providers to address, the human issues resulting from the diffusion of new technologies in industry.

Businesses, policymakers and academics are welcome to join the event and become part of this network of ideas, knowledge and experience, to shape the future of British craft manufacturing.

Agenda

The event will be hosted by organiser Dr Anup Nair from the ULMS's SIBE Group, who will be followed by keynote speakers Professor Jillian MacBryde from the University of StrathclydeKristian Tapaninaho from Ooni Ltd, Sarah Reast from Timberkits Ltd, and Sarah Watson from The Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company Ltd.

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions to research experts and leading entrepreneurs.
