Over the weekend of 7 to 9 September 2018, the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain (SAHGB) held its Autumn Study Tour in the Cities of London and Westminster.

Organised and led by the SAHGB's President, Professor Neil Jackson RIBA FSA, (Charles Reilly Professor of Architecture, School of Architecture, University of Liverpool in London) members of the Society visited, amongst other places, St James's Palace, the Royal Courts of Justice, Westminster Abbey, and St Paul's Cathedral.

On the Friday they joined our PhD student Emma Dent Coad MP, for an evening tour and reception at the Palace of Westminster and, on the Sunday morning, viewed the London landscape from the Skygarden at 40 Fenchurch Street — the 'Walkie Talkie' — while exploring the high-rise office buildings in the City.  The SAHGB's Annual Lecture will be given at Burlington House on 5 November, to which members and non-members are invited.
