Networking event for London students

Posted on: 21 November 2017 in Careers

We recently ran a career networking event for students at our London Campus, providing them with an opportunity to hear from and network with employers with large graduate schemes. Employers included PWC, London Market Group, Grant Thornton, CAPCO and HSBC.

Over 90 current students and recent graduates attended the day. Highlights included an employer panel where they shared their graduate opportunities and tips on the recruitment process, a question and answer session and a time of networking.

Accounting student, Hazel Chok said ‘The event was eye-opening and informative. It has given me the opportunity to build my networks and confidence in approaching employers. Straight after the event I made an application to a company I hadn’t previously considered.’

Dominic Timmons-Draude, Associate, Grant Thornton said ‘The opportunity to meet so many interesting students at once was much appreciated, and the networking event immediately afterwards led to a lot of great questions being posed to me. There were a number of students who I was very keen to encourage to apply for the firm, as they struck me as precisely the sort of people who would fit in perfectly with our culture.’
