Professor Kate Black

I am a Professor in the Centre for Materials and Structures at the University of Liverpool’s School of Engineering. I teach Additive Manufacturing and I conduct research into printing novel functional materials. My original undergraduate degree was in BSc Chemistry, and I worked as a Post doc at Liverpool and the University of Cambridge.

My area of expertise is in the development of novel metal organic solutions to be employed in inkjet printing.

I wanted to work at the School of Engineering as it has excellent facilities and world leading research, as well as a friendly environment to work in.
