Information for general visitors and volunteers who are having a scan at LiMRIC for Research
The University of Liverpool’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging Centre (LiMRIC), has a state of the art Siemens Prisma 3 Tesla MRI scanner..
The MR scanner is used for a variety of research, much of which has a clinical basis, and can be read about by clicking on the "Research at LiMRIC" link in the left hand side of this page. Information for MR scan volunteers can be found here: MRI Volunteer Information
Any volunteer who undergoes a MRI scan must fill in a safety screening form. This form may be downloaded here Volunteer Screening Form
All visitors to LiMRIC must fill in a visitor screening form of which we have two types. For anyone who is definitely not going into a MRI scanner room, they need to fill in the form which is downloadable here Visitor screening form without scanner room access Anyone who needs to enter a scanner room during their visit must fill in the form which is downloadable here Visitor screening form with scanner room access Please note that for safety reasons, anyone fitted with a cardiac (heart) pacemaker will not be allowed into LiMRIC.
