MicroAge Team Mission Competition

The University of Liverpool’s MicroAge Team Mission have launched an exciting competition to invite children and young adults to design a Mission Badge which will fly to the International Space Station (ISS)!

The MicroAge Team Mission experiment explores whether muscle wastage occurs in astronauts in space at the same rate as people on earth.  They will be sending muscle cells in 24 containers in a rocket to the astronauts in the ISS for this experiment.

From the MicroAge badge competition, being conducted by staff within the Faculty of Health and Life sciences, 24 entries will be selected and their badges placed onto those containers going into space. Their journey will be followed on the MicroAge App.

The overall winning design will be adapted by a graphic designer and used on all clothing and documentation. The winner will also receive a T-shirt or sweatshirt with the logo printed on it and a goodie bag.

For further information, follow the MicroAge twitter or email microage@liverpool.ac.uk.

Entries are due in by 5pm Tuesday 14th September. The winner will be notified on the 22nd September.
