2021 Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences Staff Awards Winners Announced
The Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences held their inaugural Staff Awards on Monday 12th July to recognise the extraordinary contributions made by staff across the Institute.
Over the past year, there has been a phenomenal amount of work going on, despite the challenges faced across the board due to COVID-19. All staff were eligible to win an award with their peers, staff and PGR students voting for people across thirteen categories as listed below:

• Working from Home Champion
Head of Operations, Hollie Swann said, “ILCaMS Staff and students submitted more than 130 nominations to the 2021 ILCaMS Staff Awards, which is testament to the extraordinary hard work from staff across the Institute. All our winners, runners up and nominees should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved over the last 12 months. The ILCaMS Senior Management Team are very grateful for the continued commitment of our staff in what we all recognise has been a very tough year.”
Andy Ainsworth, the Winner of Unsung Hero award said, "All I can really say is its nice for anyone to have their efforts appreciated and also that not all heroes wear capes, some wear lab coats!”
