Reporting a Data Breach or Incident

Tell us about any incident, however minor, as soon as possible after discovery. This helps us establish what's happened and if further actions are needed.

To report a data incident, click on the link and follow the instructions given. Try to provide as much detail as you can. 

Your report will be followed up by Legal & Compliance or the University Data Protection Manager who will confirm if a breach has occurred and assess the risks associated with it. 

The University has an obligation to report serious breaches to the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of a problem being identified.
