Activities included teaching students at the University of Liverpool’s partner institutions in the region. Year 2 students were given a session on ‘Co-ownership & Severance’ as part of their Land law module, while Year 1 students enjoyed a session on ‘Privity of Contract’ as part of their Contract Law module.
An Alumni event was held for Liverpool Law School graduates, and wider graduates of Liverpool University, at the Intercontinental Hotel in KL. Many graduates had a chance to meet with Professors Barr & Morris, as well as eat, socialise and win Liverpool-themed prizes in a business card raffle. ‘It was great to catch up old friends and makes some news ones’ said Professor Barr.

Consortium meetings and graduation ceremonies
Brickfields Asia College also hosted a Consortium meeting, chaired by Professor Barr (as co-chair of the Brickfields UK Consortium), as well as holding their annual Graduation Ceremony 2019 at the Sime Derby Convention centre, at which Professor Barr said a few words by way of congratulations to graduates and awarded a degree to a Liverpool student.
Professor Morris kindly stepped in to represent another University at the ceremony, due to their unforeseen illness. The offer to study at Liverpool Law School attracted over 600 potential students at the BAC Education Fair on Monday 14th October 2019, who had the chance to talk to Professors Morris & Barr, Ms Anna Vowles, Ms Tracie Tee (Area Rep, University of Liverpool International team) or representatives from AUG (the Law School’s agents in Malaysia) about all aspects of life at Liverpool.

Placement providers
Professor Morris and Ms Anna Vowles visited Azman Davidson & Co on 16th October 2019, one of the excellent placement providers for our students in the School of Law and Social Justice.
Professor Morris said of the vist: ‘It was great to pay a courtesy call to this prestigious KL law firm, to thank them in person for their vital support in providing summer placements for Liverpool Law School students.’
They were delighted to run into one of the Law School’s recent graduates, who has just started work at Azman Davidson & Co, and who sent his respects to his favourite teacher at Liverpool, Professor Rob Stokes.
