Research

Emily's research examines cases of sexual crime involving children brought before colonial courts in India.

Research summary

This project will analyse indigenous interactions with colonial courts at the nexus of intimate and traumatic events to reveal competing notions of childhood, sexuality and justice in the colonial Indian context.
