I teach a final year module called Brazilian Popular Culture, which draws directly on my research interests in this area, and includes lectures on popular music and contemporary cinema, as well as topics such as Afro-Brazilian religious practices, racial representation in the media and the martial art-dance, capoeira.
I also teach Latin American and especially Brazilian cinema in a variety of other modules at all levels.

Having worked as a freelance translator of Portuguese into English for several years, I use the skills and practical experience that I have acquired, as well as some of the 'real-life' material I have translated, in my final year Portuguese translation classes.
