The print service

The University has a large number of Ricoh Multi Functional Devices (MFDs) which perform the vast majority of the printing of A3, A4 black & white and colour printing. Specialised printing such as A0, A1 Poster type printing takes place centrally.

Undergraduates and taught postgraduates have to be in credit before they can print but Staff and PGRs can print without being in credit - their Departments will recharge them or they can pay into their print account at a later date.

Print from anywhere

You can send your work to print from wherever you are working and your printing can be released from any of the Ricoh machines using your smart card. Students should refer to the Student printing webpages for further information.

Staff or PGRs sending work to print from a PC in the Libraries or a PC centre can release printing from any of the Ricohs in any of those locations.  Printing sent from any other location can be released on any Ricoh away from the Libraries or PC centres. There are detailed instructions on how to release Follow-You printing.

Specialised printing such as A0, A1 poster printing can be collected weekdays between 8:30am and 5pm from the Brownlow Hill Building.

Photocopy & scan

As well as printing, the Ricoh MFDs can photocopy and also scan. The Scanto-Me option works by emailing the scanned document to your University email account.  Whilst there is no charge for scanning, undergraduate and taught postgraduate students need to be in print credit before they can use this service.
