A warm welcome to our new students

Welcome

Congratulations on making it to the University of Liverpool!

We know that there are many things you have been asked - and need - to do before you arrive and during the first few weeks of term: by now you will have received your Welcome Pack, emails with instructions, and a lot of information to read through.

We sympathise that there is a lot for you to do!

When it comes to the IT services you will be using as a student here in Liverpool, we try to make it as easy as possible for you to get started.

You should have received our Essentials guide which will give you a good idea of what to expect before you arrive, and what is on offer when you do.

IT Quickstart is designed to help you become familiar with the IT services available to you as a student - from connecting your own devices (phones, tablets or laptops) to the University's wired or wifi network, to getting started with your University email account and making sure you stay safe online.

We're also on hand to help you during Welcome Week so don't be strangers: come and visit us if you are having any difficulties with getting started and we will be able to help you. We're going to be in some Halls of Residence during Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September, as well as at locations around the central campus to help you with activating your computing account, or completing your academic registration, if you haven't done so already. Find out where we'll be and come along to see us if you have any problems: http://www.liv.ac.uk/csd/quickstart/getting-help/.

We also post the latest news, alerts and announcements on our Twitter feed so follow us @liverpoolcsd to keep up to date.

In the meantime, we hope you get quickly settled in to your new home and wish you every success with your studies!
